Dubai Is Building World’s First Rotating Skyscraper Where Every Apartment Rotates 360 Degree
Hello and everybody to welcome in my channel TECH-ERA. Dubai
is well known for its architecture. The city has many man-made wonders
i.e world’s largest man-made island, the world’s largest shopping mall,
the world’s tallest building and many more.
Soon
Dubai will be known for world’s first rotating skyscraper. Yes, you
read it right. Dubai’s new ‘Dynamic Tower hotel’ will able to watch the
sunrise and sunset in the city’s rotating hotel. It is planned for a
grand opening in 2020, but the idea behind this tower was sketched since
2008 by Israeli-Italian David fisher.
According
to Fisher, the idea is that the building will be built in four
dimensions and will constantly change shape. The tower will house 80
storeys and will measure 1,375 feet in height. Each storey will rotate
individually by standing firm on a foundation of a stationary core would
be containing an elevator, with the apartments connected onto the
centerpiece.
The
most remarkable thing is that the project is planned to have no
electricity costs as 79 wind turbines would be placed horizontally
between the floor of every storey and solar panels are placed over the
roof. Another interesting feature would be every resident being able to
control their apartment spins with voice commands.
It’s
unclear what the price tag is for this massive project, but Dynamic
Architecture says the price for an individual apartment unit could range
from $4 million to $40 million.
Fisher
hopes his tower is the beginning of a change in the way architects
think about their jobs and he did not want to unveil too much
information because he wanted it to be kept a ‘surprise’.
