Want to give your Android device a new look? Let Google give you a hand.

Google has a new tool called the #myAndroid Taste Test that aims to help you customize your Android device. The test will ask you a handful of questions, like “Patterned or random” and “Animated or static”, that it wants you to answer quickly. It’ll also ask what’s important to you, like “I want quicker info, I want something different, I want a cool look”, and it’ll ask your experience level with Android.

Once you’re done, Google will cook up a few different looks that it thinks you’ll like. These looks will include recommended apps for wallpapers, icons, a launcher, widgets, and a keyboard. Links to each app in the Play Store are provided for easy downloading.

Customization is one of the major features of Android, but trying to wade through the millions of of apps in the Play Store can be a daunting prospect, especially for anyone new to the platform. Google’s new #myAndroid Taste Test aims to help with that by giving users a short, fun questionnaire, recommending a few looks that they might like, and then providing links to the Play store so that they can easily download the apps. This is a solid little tool from Google that’s worth a look for most any Android user out there.
